Adult Sunday School Class 9:00 AM Sundays Classroom 2

The adult Bible study at Hope is currently concentrating on studying from the Bible standards of living for our personal life. God saves and puts us into a new life where we are made holy. We now have the power to live righteously, but that is not the end. We still have judgment and will and power of choice. God through the Bible gives us tools, rules and loving leadership. The class is now considering the instructions God's word give us to build our Christian lives by. Facilitated by Dr. Steve Northsea

Wisdom Seekers Wednesdays - 10:00 AM - Classroom 2

Beginning Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10 am Hope's book club will read and study Me, an Evangelist? Every Christian's Guide to Caring Evangelism by William McKay. The book study will take a fresh look at evangelism as a caring sharing of Christ's love. Me, an Evangelist? presents an engaging story about a reluctant evangelist while exploring the principles and practices of sharing our faith in daily life. Author Bill McKay teaches Christians how to express God's Good News in ways that others welcome. Biblical and practical, this book shows how to joyfully, comfortably, and naturally live and share the love of Jesus with others. One who has previously studied the book, said, "Take the Caring Evangelism Study. It will influence your life in a very positive manner! It sharpens your skills and enables you to become a better, more effective witness for the faith. It is a very enriching study and helps you become more God-centered." The book and class materials will be provided free of charge. The study will be facilitated by Steve Northsea. It will meet October 5, 12, 26, November 2, 9, and 16. December's scheduled if needed will be announced later.
  • "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. -2 Timothy 3:16-17

    Why Study the Bible

We are a church whose unity is in Jesus Christ, who gathers us around word and water, wine and bread. We believe that people meet God in Scripture, where God's relationship to — and intention for — humankind is revealed.

For many, the encounter with Scripture is limited to the excerpts that are read on Sunday morning. Many of us — and many of our neighbors — are somewhat intimidated and unsure of how to engage Scripture. We believe all are invited to open Scripture and join the conversation.
